How to Become a SuperStar Student

Overview

Give your student critical skills for success in school with advice on everything from homework and class participation to group presentations and preparing for tests. Our education system often emphasizes standardized test scores, leaving many teachers with little time to teach the most valuable lesson of all: how to learn. This engaging course provides students with the building blocks to academic success using research-proven strategies.

Students will learn to identify their learning style and leverage its strengths, take effective notes, harness critical and creative thinking to solve problems, and manage their time to balance homework, projects, studying, and hobbies. Taught by 2008 National Teacher of the Year Michael Geisen, this course is packed with advice, tips, tricks, and resources that will transform your student’s education and motivate them to succeed.

The final six lessons are tailored for parents of middle- and high-school students, covering research-based strategies for helping with homework, communicating effectively with teachers, preparing for college, and fostering a love for challenging learning material.
