Stepping inside a Gothic cathedral allows one to enter the visual essence of the Christian faith. Since the Christianization of Europe in the 4th century, cathedrals have served as centers of ecclesiastical authority, marvels of architectural innovation, and significant sites for cultural, political, and economic life.
In this course, taught by Professor William R. Cook of SUNY Geneseo, you will experience these magnificent buildings through 24 lectures rich with high-definition 3-D models and imagery.
